Women's Gathering
Please join the Awaken Women the first Saturday of every month as we gather at the building for a time of fellowship, a light breakfast and devotional.
These mornings are so special! They allow us to share time together, be intentional with each other and really dive into God’s Word. Bring a dish to share if you can and come as you are.
Please note the slight time change!! We will now meet from 9:00-10:30, starting back Saturday, February 7th.
Awaken Women Pizza & Bingo
Ladies! Please join us Friday, February 20th from 6:30-8:30pm at Awaken for a pizza and game night. We will provide pizza and play bingo. There will be prizes! This will be so much fun and is a great event to bring a friend to. We can’t wait to see you! Register here so we know how much food to order.
Awaken Kids Summer Camp
Awaken Kids invites kids ages 8-12 to spend a week of overnight camp at Camp Longridge with us this Summer, July 13-17.
Enjoy a week full of fun filled activities, fellowship, worship, and growing in Christ.
Cost is $389 per camper with $75 due at registration and full balance due by June 1st.

Fellowship Luncheon
Let's kick the New Year off with a church family fellowship! It may be chilly outside, but we will have crockpots full of warm soups and plenty of yummy treats waiting for you. We will eat right after service.

Christmas Caroling
Join us for our second annual Christmas caroling event! We will meet at the building then go as a group to a local neighborhood to sing Christmas songs and invite people to our Christmas Eve service.
We will meet at the building to discuss logistics and pray then we’ll disburse.

RNE Christmas Market
Let’s share the hope and love that can be found only in Jesus with the student at RNE high school. This Christmas we will host our annual Christmas market for the student that are in need. We will provide gifts for them to “shop” so they can have a Christmas present for a family member and we allow them to pick one for themselves as well.
We will be collecting gifts from November 9th - December 14th.
We will also need 5 volunteers to serve at the event on December 16th—Sign up here

The Gathering
The Gathering is a time of fellowship were women can come together, enjoy coffee and breakfast, build community and dive into the Word of God.
We will meet every Saturday of the month from 8:30-10. Coffee will be provided and we are asking the ladies to bring a small breakfast item to share each time after that if they can.
Please come as you are, bring your Bibles, bring a friend, and be ready to hear from the Lord.

Awaken Men Fall Retreat
Calling all Awaken Men! Man Camp is October 24th-26th at USAF Wateree Recreation Area

Join the Awaken Men for an evening of food and fellowship. This is a free event and a great opportunity to bring a friend, coworker, neighbor!

Daybreak 5K
This is a family and pet friendly event. Come out, get some exercise in, and support our local partner as they raise funds to continue their efforts to provide a space for women to choose life and help them with basic needs right here in Columbia.

Awaken Women Fall Retreat
Join the Awaken Women for their 2025 Fall Retreat, “The Pressing”!
Cost is $88 per person and includes the following:
Cabin accommodations; each cabin sleeps 4 & all attendees need to bring their own sheets, pillows & towels
Dinner on Friday, Oct 3, & breakfast & lunch on Saturday, Oct 4
Team building activities with camp staff on Saturday afternoon
All materials for group times, including all supplies for craft time & any materials needed for group devotional gatherings.

Operation Christmas Child
Awaken Missions and AHG are partnering together again this year to collect shoeboxes for OCC. Boxes will be available in the lobby starting Sunday September 28th and filled boxes will need to be returned no later than Sunday November 2nd.
If you’d like to donate items only and not fill a box then those items can be placed on the table in the lobby.
To fill a box - Select a medium to large "wow" item such as a soccer ball with pump or stuffed animal, then fill with other fun toys, school supplies, and personal care items. Don't forget to also include a personal note and photo—sometimes these are the child's favorite things to receive! For more ideas click here
Last year we filled 109 shoeboxes, this year let’s go for 120!

Blaney Teacher Appreciation Breakfast
As a continued thank you for the teachers and staff at Blaney we will be serving them breakfast on Wednesday September 24th.
We will need 4-5 volunteers to set up and serve the food as well as donations of breakfast items. Some favorites are fruit, yogurt, granola bars, orange juice, muffins and pastries.

All are welcome!
Awaken Family Picnic @ Sesquicentennial State Park.
Pay at the gate $6 adults; $3.75 seniors; $3.50 children ages 6-15; ages 5 & under free. We have picnic pad #1 reserved . Bring your chairs and your cooler with lunch and drinks for your family .
Splash pad will be open for kids and our picnic pad is right beside the playground
Serve Tour Elgin Community Block Party
Help us partner with Hillcrest Baptist Church in hosting a Back-to-School block party for the Elgin community.
Volunteers are needed to help with various aspects of the event, from setup and games to hospitality and distribution of school supplies. There will be inflatables, games, and food.
Come help serve and love on the Elgin community.

Community Prayer Walk
We will be going out to a local neighborhood to engage with and love on our neighbors. We will meet at the building at 9am for a pre-walk discussion and prayer time and then go out to a neighborhood near Awaken to do the prayer walk.

Awaken Building Work Day
Join us as we clean up in and around the Awaken building. There will be projects such as trimming trees, cleaning up shrubs and flower beds, parking lot maint, and a few miscellaneous indoor items.
